Whilst the property was beautiful, and the onsen was immaculately clean, I felt that the resort could have done a lot more to create a more welcoming environment with more varied dining and drinking options. There was one restaurant and there were no afternoon tea or beverages served in the otherwise lovely lobby space. It felt very bare and slightly unwelcoming. The staff, whilst some were friendly, were for the most part quite cold and did not go the extra mile to provide for a warm and hospitable stay!
