Great location in interesting setting. Our main complaint was that the room was very stuffy and hot. There was a fan in the room but difficult to keep three of us cool. We just landed in Switzerland and this was fine for night one to recover from jet lag.

Very cool to stay in an old prison! We arrived before check-in and they let us store our bags in a luggage room (which is unlocked and near the main entrance). The room is small, 2 twin sized beds. The sink is in the room. The shower pressure was great. No hairdryer but you can get one at the front desk with a deposit. Very basic stay but was a great location for our 1 night in Lucerne!

Love the area, attractions are walkable. Old town Luzern is dreamy. The room just gets warm coz it was heatwave, but there was a fan but not enough to cool the room.

This was probably the most interesting place I have ever stayed, a former prison! But it was clean, the staff friendly and the breakfast worth while! I would recommend it for its quiet location too and a short walk to the main attractions and restaurants 😀

The main cafeteria room was not available to go eat in during restaurant operation, there was not really anywhere to eat or heat our lunch (maybe it is only because we took the "cell" room but nonetheless...). The room itself lacks a couple of things, first is shower and toilet privacy with semi translucide walls, the steps to get on top of bunk beds are so small that it hurts your feet, the window is too high for a normal person to be able to access it and open or close it... Good idea but implementation is to be revisited...
