The bed seem clean but the floor could have done with a good vacuum & disinfecting. Some mandarin seeds were lying in the corners.

The staff at Ibis Newcastle (Wallsend) are always friendly and helpful. Clean room, good A/C, fresh sheets and towels. Well worth the price, thanks.

Ophold alene

The young lady at the counter was lovely and helpful. The room was clean, the bed comfortable. There was no remote for the tv which I addressed with the young lady that was fine though when I got in late that night I realised there was also no remote to control the heat so sleep was a little difficult. Otherwise everything was good.

Friendly and helpful staff but cleanliness was lacking. There were old blood stains on the doona and mould and dirt in multiple places in the shower. The flush button on the toilet needed a good scrub. Some of the breakfast dishes and cutlery did not look clean and plates were chipped and still wet. There was no cover on the cheese and ham put out for breakfast so the cheese was dry and inedible. There was a person coughing frequently in the breakfast room which was off putting. I guess, after all it is a budget hotel.

Ok for a short stay if you don’t mind being in a small room. A bit noisy because the property is very close to the highway, but the price makes up for the noise.
