was an ok room, booked a double but was given a twin with separate beds. the curtains didn’t really cover the window so was woken up by the light very early and the shower curtain didn’t actually stop water going out the shower. breakfast was included which was nice

I recently stayed at the Ahl Marketzeen Hotel, and it is truly a mixed bag. ​The Best Part: The location is unbeatable. It is right in the heart of the city, making it incredibly easy to walk to most major attractions and local shops. If being central is your top priority, this is a solid choice. ​The Downside: The building itself is quite old and feels outdated. You can tell it hasn't been renovated in a while—the decor is a bit tired, and the facilities are showing significant signs of wear and tear. ​Summary: If you just need a place to crash in a central spot and don't mind a vintage (or slightly worn) atmosphere, it’s fine. However, if you are looking for modern comforts, you might want to look elsewhere.

We were chased out of the room! While the front of house staff were kind and helpful, the room was a big disappointment. We were given a room lacking adequate facilities; no kettle, fridge or cups/glasses. The room had stains on the wall near the headboard and behind the nightstand, stained carpets, bedding which had hairs, and a very small and tight bathroom with poor drainage. There were only two plug sockets, one of which was hidden: one by the door which we found useless as anything we plugged in became a tripping hazard when entering the room & the other used for the none functioning TV. There was no view and looked out onto another roof and wall. As there was no fridge, we resorted to storing our food outside on the windowsill to keep it from perishing. On the morning of our check out, we were corralled out unceremoniously by the cleaning staff who entered with little warning. Although our booking indicated the checkout time as 11am, they insisted it was incorrect and wouldn't grant us any longer than 10 minutes to leave the room.

I do not recommend staying here! The property is surrounded by inappropriate stores, not safe for children’s eyes. The room was absolutely disgusting! There was hair all over the bed, towels and shower! It looked as if someone was sleeping in the bed and did not change the sheets. The carpet was so gross and stained. The walls are so dirty and have black marks all over it. Also there was no shower curtain!! The breakfast was ok. Overall, I would not stay here again and I would recommend you shouldn’t either.

Room was basic and tv didn’t work (but they told us). Toilet/shower room was a tight manoeuvre. Actual location was decent been only a few minutes walk to the old town. Breakfast was good with plenty of options.

For a budget hotel I can’t complain too much. Check in as at 3 but we had to wait an hour as the cleaners hadn’t finished. There was a mouse that

Good experience overall. Check in process was quick and easy. The breakfast was very nice as well (everything was fresh and tasty). The staff were friendly and helpful. My room was a good size. Interesting historical building with many artifacts displayed on the walls. The area is quiet, away from the busy streets.
