Booked a room that was advertising AC! Was told the room didnt have AC and a fan will be provided. There was a heatwave in the UK and a fan would not have been useful. False advertising. Double check before booking.

The hotel is lovely and the rooms are nice.. the only downside was the fact that it was so hot.. even with two fans on.. the heat in the room was unbearable and hardly slept

The staff were amazing!! But unfortunately the bed & the bathroom had hairs all over, the bed itself had seen better days, the carpet was worn & stretched, the aircon blew air but didn’t cool the room at all I would go here again but would try booking a better or different room

The room was a good size and the bed comfortable. If it hadn't been for noisy and inconsiderate other guests, we would have had a good night's sleep. My only criticism about the room itself

Staff were great and friendly. Hotel location is great if you have kids as they can run around on the large grounds which my boys loved. Hotel room which was a family room was a great size and lots of space. Only down side is that it is dated and does need looking at, the beds were well used and not very comfortable. Small details that could be fixed easily like broken soap dispenser, rip in the curtains and hanging off the rail in a couple of areas.

Best service we have ever received from staff. Every single member of staff we encountered at the hotel was incredibly polite, kind and extremely helpful. Mia at the front desk was particularly helpful & super lovely, as was the restaurant manager. We felt so incredibly welcome and well looked after throughout our stay, despite having some issues with our booking through Expedia. The team swiftly and generously resolved these problems, which frankly, were not even their fault. We ordered takeout for dinner at quite a late hour, and the night shift manager brought us plates and cutlery without us even asking. This is just one of many examples of the good service we received. The hotel grounds and building are absolutely stunning, as was the lunch. Definitely recommend going for a walk through the grounds and the woodland area at the back. The room we stayed in was little dated, particularly the bathroom which was a bit unbecoming but we didn’t mind this for the price. Thank you for making our visit so special.

The place is very nice really enjoy the stay. This is my fourth time staying at this property. I guess because it’s old there’s some things that are not quite up-to-date but on all it’s very good
