Right on the beach

This hotel is in the best position in Waikiki. The restaurants are great and the food is delicious!

Room did not have a chair/sofa to sit on. Some areas under construction. Best part, on the beach and easy access to and from paddling race

The stay overall was ok. When I booked the hotel through Expedia, I was never notified that the hotel was under construction. It wasn't until I checked in that I found out the extra I paid for the VIP lounge, free drinks, and snacks wasn't available. They offered me a $100 credit each day, but I didn't have a chance to see if it was even comparable to what I originally paid. The hotel emailed me prior to my arrival asking if I wanted to upgrade my room, mind you this was before I knew it was under construction, so I said yes. When I checked in and asked about the upgrade, she said it's based on availablilty, but the room you have is one of the new rooms and better than what the upgrade would be because it would be in the older rooms, so I said fine. The room was nice. It was a partial ocean view/city view which I now regret keeping because we heard EVERYTHING outside. There is so much construction and city work being done that every morning around 5am you can hear all of the loading trucks, beeps, horns, garbage trucks EVERYTHING. You can also hear your neighbors opening their sliding glass door. It's loud as are the doors when they shut. They slam shut. Every door in the room is SOOO heavy and hard to open. The other issue we had is that the housekeeper never vacuumed our room. We had sand accumulating throughout our stay, and at one point we thought they vacuumed, but it turns out they just pushed it to the side. I have more to say, but I'm out of space.

I was notified about 2 weeks prior to my stay that they had construction going on. It was significant, and sadly it impacted our stay due to noise and blocked off areas. I can understand that remodeling and upgrades are needed: our room was clean but outdated. The staff was great, and the location is unbeatable. Overall, I may return BUT will check in advance if I do.

Was having construction but otherwise excellent.

Do not stay during this renovation. Construction work everywhere, unable to use elevators in a timely manner. And the stinch from the garbage cans near the beach access was disgustingly to smell to say the least. The smell traveled through the hotel hallways to the elevators. Only thing nice was the renovated rooms. Wish I would have knows how bad the construction impacted our stay .first time ever to Hawaii and I was extremely disappointed in the hotel

Unfortunately there is a huge construction going on all day and parts of the hotel amenities were closed. We were never informed that this was going on when we booked. It was planned big major construction then the hotel should have notified all the guests. Not recommended until they finish the renovation.

We stayed in one of the newly remodeled rooms. I highly recommend that a general manager spend the night in one of those rooms and find out what’s wrong with them. Me just telling him isn’t going to make a difference he needs to experience it for himself.

Great view and perfect location. Hotel is right on the beach and also across the street from Fendi, Saint Laurent, Rolex, Louis Vuitton, Target, food court and too many food/coffee/restaurant/shopping places to list. 15 min walk from several food truck parks. Whatever you’re in the mood for, it’s there. 8 min walk to get surf lessons. 5 min walk to mani/pedi or massage. 10 min walk to the pickup point for Mauka Warriors Luau bus transport. 3 min walk to the bus for places further away. Hotels and Food are VERY expensive. For example: a premade Tunafish sandwich on white bread is $10 in a convenience store. Burgers are $25. There are many Musubi Cafes only minutes away and there’s an ABC Liquor store in the hotel. Overall great vacation but just beware that the hotel is under construction for renovations (which we were notified 2 days before Checkin and told only 9 am-4pm Monday thru Friday) but we were woken up at 7 am and it went on til 5:45pm. Front desk will tell you that they don’t give them the keys until 9am but they managed to get in earlier anyway. Call Charley’s Taxi from the airport for the best flat rate. Parking at the hotels is not cheap $30 a night minimum IF you can get a spot. We did not rent a car because there’s no need.
