I am grateful to the staff because I arrived early and they allowed me to check in before the regular check-in time. However, I have one concern. I made my reservation in New York for two adults (my husband and me). At check-in, the front desk asked us to pay an additional tax because my husband is a Peruvian resident (I’m American Citizen). This is the first time I have experienced a hotel charging an extra amount based on a guest’s residency. Is this policy correct? I did not receive any information about this additional charge when I made the reservation, so I would appreciate an explanation. Best Regards Eulalia Perez
