Fantastisk Nice accomodation right next to the shore. Clean. Helpful staff although service can be a bit slow. Food at the restaurant was good. Excellent snorkel trip booked at onsite booth. Would return again. Lovely beach 5-10 mins walk away

This resort is not the high end expensive Marriot resort on the other side of the island. If you have the cash and desire primarily high end hotels, this is not it. BUT, The rooms are just fine, with all the extras except a microwave. What makes this resort special is the great vibe and diversity. The guests are primarily Malaysian and families. The food is great. The large open beachfront area is great for hanging out and eating and having a drink and people watching. The long pier is the center of boating and snorkeling activity for the area. I did not use the dive center. The prices for all the activities are very fair and well organized. Spoken English is just fine for guests. For the price, the snorkeling is near the best in the world, which might be what you came for. Our entire stay from booking to transportation coordination on and off was seamless.

Great staff working well as a team, happy and receptive while being continually busy
Food was consistently good. On one night we had fresh fish and squid barbacue and it was tender and delicious.
Loved Boat trip A and also hiring a boat to take us to a lovely beach for snorkelling on other days

What a great place to stay on Perhentian island (Greater)! A real gem. Location is perfect with 3 beaches in walking distance (one right next to the accommodation). We stayed in a seafront view family room and it was amazing waking up to the beautiful view. The rooms are spacious, clean, comfy beds, plenty of pillows, fridge, AC, a big fan on the ceiling. Big screen tv is connected to wifi so we were able to watch some of our favourite programs before bed. Spacious balcony - stepping out of it -> stepping into the restaurant. Staff are super helpful, professional, friendly. We strongly recommend this place. We would definitely come back if we come to East Malaysia again.

Although the island is very nice, this hotel is not. We paid for a deluxe room and believe me it wasn’t. The beds are hard, the air conditioning is too strong and hard to control. 3 times per day, the electricity goes off and you have to restart the breaker. The food at the restaurant is pretty much all frozen food so not very good. The beach in front of the hotel is not useable so you have to walk 5 minutes to the other beach which is amazing. The best snorkeling of my life!

We had the standard chalet and I’m sad to share that the condition was not good and it didn’t match the pictures from the website. The rooms could definitely use some renovation and the cleaning standards are very poor. They also have newly renovated rooms, that unfortunately were not available when we booked and probably are in better shape.
The island is very beautiful and 5 min walk from the resort there is a beautiful beach.

Wowza! This was one of the best 5 day asian island resort experiences we've had on our travels.
The resort has gone through a full refurbishment in the last couple of years, so we were delighted to see that most of the negative feedback has been listened too and actioned. Do not hesitate to book.
All the staff - reception, restaurant, cleaners, concierge, footmen and management - are so friendly, helpful and enjoy a sense of fun, whilst all being totally professional. Our room was clean fresh with clean linens and towels.
Sometime it takes an issue to truely rate an experience and we were absoultely blown away at the attentiveness and resolution. It turned our experience from 5 star to 6 star.
We will definitely be back!!!
