The hotel has a modern lodge feel and the staff were so kind and helpful. The PeakFine restaurant was simply delicious and the staff were so attentive. We had the panoramic family room with an amazing view of the Matterhorn! This was the highlight of our trip to Switzerland. I definitely highly recommend this hotel and would come back in the future.

The Alpen Resort and Spa is such a great hidden gem! It’s not on any main strip in Zermatt which was great—it’s quiet and peaceful. Staff: Friendly and helpful from check-in to check out. The included shuttle pickup/drop off at the train station is a nice touch. Room: We had the family panorama room with Matterhorn view (note when reserving: mountain view is not necessarily Matterhorn view. Read the room descriptions carefully before booking. The room was very clean and well equipped. Spa/Pool: We absolutely loved the spa and pool. We used it every chance we could get. The teenagers enjoyed it as well. It’s better than the pictures on the website. There were hardly any guests using this area—we had it virtually to ourselves 90% of the time. Note: Access to the spa is included with your stay (as of June 2026) Food: Breakfast is from 7-11am. The breakfast buffet was included with our stay as well (as of June 2026). It was a well stocked breakfast buffet and you can order an omelet off of their menu. The omelet option is also included. “The Dude” restaurant has huge portions and nice selection. The pricing was slightly lower than comparable places. TLDR: Great stay and great value considering the included amenities!

Beautiful Mountain view , room was very warm and inviting, staff was very welcoming and accommodating, highly recommend staying there.

This hotel was really nice, legitimate four star, really cool authentic Zermatt theme. Definitely worth the money., We would definitely stay there again

The resort was beautiful, the restaurant on site was handy for a nearby dinner. The included breakfast was amazing! And the spa had some great features and was spacious and comfortable. Highly recommend Alpen Resort!

Nice hotel

We loved the SPA and Pool facilities. Our room (family room on two level) has an amazing view of Matterhorn from our balcony- especially at sun rise when it just glowed as if it was made of Gold. Room itself was large and clean with adequate facilities. Check in was straight forward too. Zermatt itself is a beautiful ski resort town. The hotel was in a great location near the railway station. The hotel offers a courtesy bus to pick or drop you at the railway station.

Everything was great, Bcz of the lower temp, they don’t have air conditioning but they provided us with fans. Even if we were early, we got our room ready in 10 to 15 mins, staff were very polite and helpful. Food was great. We enjoyed our stay and will recommend to family and friends.

Nice mountain view. Received an upgrade for one of the rooms..which was a nice surprise.

This place was amazing! They went above and beyond to make things special while I was here proposing to my now fiancé. They had every amenity you could think of, and even ones that you couldn't (ie. a mini taxi to take you to/from the hotel and train station at no cost). Also, everything was in walking distance. With complete honesty, we will be coming back to stay at this place many more times!
