The buffet breakfast here was exceptional. Japanese cuisine rotated daily so you get to try a wide variety of food and be perfectly setup for the day. Most days spent here we were fine until dinner because of how filling the breakfast was. They had a fairly large staff cooking and keeping things clean. I only wish I could have expressed just how amazing the food was. The property was nice, though they do not have cool air in the upstairs halls or elevators. But, that’s not unusual. Same for cleaning rooms, they turn off unattended air. Just be prepared, this is also fairly normal. Check in procedure was simply providing passports for scan. Check out was an automated machine where each room key went and an employee was very helpful to streamline the process. Odawara was my first stop on my first trip to Japan. It is a nice place on its own with plenty of charm and makes Mount Fuji and Hakone very accessible. It’s a Shinkansen stop as well. So getting to Tokyo was 33 min. This hotel is a few blocks from the station on the main road in front of the East exit of the station. The street here is made up on one side to be reminiscent of older Japan towns. If you crave a smaller city experience and need access to other areas, this is a good spot. Plus there’s Odawara Castle a couple blocks away. Very walkable.

Excellent place for family stay

Beds are very small and uncomfortable,room is extremely tide, staff refused to help with keeping the luggage at all which normally around the world we never got any opposition from the staff to keep luggages for us.

Was very comfortable and the room was clean. A great spot to get to some of the other attractions and super close to the castle and beach would stay here again for another trip.

The breakfast changed a bit everyday but was a traditional Japanese offering. Staff greeted you as you came and went. Helpful when we asked a question. The room hallways and lobby were clean

Odawara has a few hotels by walking distance from train station And The popular hotels are only 2 *Tenseien hotel *Toyoko inn Tenseien The hot spa was better facility All others are Toyoko inn was cozy and clean, the room rate is much better than Tenseien We recommend Toyoko inn

I love Toyoko-Inn in Odawara!!! They give free breakfast!!!! And their breakfast is great with many dishes! The kitchen staff is AMAZING! They are great ladies, always saying "Good morning!" and "Thank you very much." The hotel staff is friendly and helpful! The rooms are really nice! As in many hotels in Japan, rooms are only cleaned once AFTER each 3 nights, i.e., on the day of the 4th nice. It's "ECO Stay." Free coffee until midnight EVERY DAY!!!! Their coffee is GOOD! Don't go to Starbucks :-) Washing clothes is cheap. 200 yen to wash a 5KG load. 100 yen every 30 minutes to dry, but it seems the dryers are not on high heat setting. So, you might want to dry the non-heavy clothes first, like shirts/t-shirts, then the heavy ones with themselves with extra 100 yen coins. I would stay at Odawara Toyoko-Inn! They are a bit better than the Toyoko-Inn in Yashio, Tokyo!

Staff are helpful , quiet environment/ clean . Breakfast was cleared very clearly - Om the dot of 10 am - missed my Breakfast - would be good if grace period is given . Variety not much - could be better
