This was lovely place to stay - we were in the last two 'legs' of a 1300 mile road trip to Scotland (and back!) - possibly the best, as it matched all our needs for a quiet evening, in a beautifully-appointed, clean ensuite room, and a restful comfortable sleep! Our hosts, Mark & Paula were welcoming (tasty cookies!), quiet and unobtrusive (checking what bed configuration - king or twin - we wanted in advance), serving our preferred choice of tasty breakfasts at our room 's table & chairs. Their directions were great and their off-road parking was just outside the back door. What more could any touring couple want for an overnight stay?

Management was very welcoming. I had booked in into wrong date however staff accommodated me in a spare loft room which was such a huge relief for us. Property was clean through out and had a delicious vegetarian breakfast to add on. Would recommend strongly

This was a lovely b&b. Host kept in touch via text prior to arrival, informing me of parking which was full, but car park right next door was available for use. Lovely welcome with a home made cookie offered to take up to my room (very nice!). Room spacious with everything I needed - basic TV, bath / shower, kettle. Breakfast was very nice, brought to my room at time requested. Use of car charger was an added bonus at a reasonable cost. Overall a very enjoyable stay and hosts couldn't have been more friendly and helpful. Would definitely recommend.

Clean, cosy, quiet. Met with a cookie to take up to the room! Mark and Paula were lovely, breakfast was great and it was dead quiet overnight. Thank you ☺️

Warm welcome on arrival. Clean and comfy room with all amenities covered. Delicious breakfast served to the rooms. Highly recommended.

I really enjoyed my stay here, owners were so nice and helpful, while i am not a vegetarian the breakfast was really good, perfect omelette and I really appreciated the butter was actually at room temp so it could be spread and not rip the toast apart. Great sound proofing and very comfy bed. Thanks very much

Just needed an overnight stay close to Blencathra and everything was spot on. Owners welcomed me by name without introducing myself first. Big single room with en suite and TV. Onsite parking and breakfast delivered to the room was a bonus. Would definitely stay again.
