This resort is essentially a motel. The doors open to the outside, there’s no room service, no on‑site restaurant, no ice machines, and not even vending machines. Our room was dirty, missing a shower curtain until I requested one, and the floors, baseboards, and windows were filthy. There was only one TV in the entire unit, none in the bedrooms. The AC couldn’t be adjusted, the door lock was broken, and the toilet barely flushed. Honestly, the only positives were the oceanfront location and the fact that we didn’t see any bugs.

Staff was friendly. Stay away from Willow Bay! 1. No towels in room when we checked in. 2.No tv remote in living room. Found out why because no power on the receptacle for the tv. Was Told maintenance would be at room in 20 minutes never showed up. Called 1 time next morning. I missed that phone call tried to call back no answer. 3. Hot tub was half drained with green stinking stagnant water in it! 4. Pools were not clean. 5.The boards to the beach had screws sticking up out of them or boards were rotted. 6. Said it was renovated in 2023 if so they need to get money back they got cheated. 7. Furniture was dirty, smelled bad, and sticky. 8. Trash stayed in hallway all weekend long on every floor and it smelled terrible. 9. No staff after 10:00 until 9:00am next morning. 10. Mold on ac vents. 11. Beds were uncomfortable (hard) 12. Bedrooms were hot a/c 13. Checked in Thursday didn’t see housekeeping until Monday during checkout. 14. Window and window seal were dirty not been cleaned in a long time.

The staff were amazing, 3 guys worked that weekend front desk and gave the best customer service I received the whole trip. They were very attentive and accommodating. The guy who checked us in was the absolute best! Gave us places to go and we had a ball!! Def staying here nxt time!

Our stay at Willow Bay Resort was outstanding from start to finish. The staff truly made the experience exceptional. Everyone we interacted with was friendly, welcoming, and genuinely eager to help. Check-in was quick and easy, and every question we had was answered with a smile. It’s refreshing to stay somewhere where the staff clearly takes pride in making guests feel at home. The amenities were exactly what we were looking for. The oceanfront balcony offered breathtaking views, the beach was just steps away, and having a full kitchen and spacious suite made traveling with family incredibly convenient. The pool area was clean and well maintained, parking was easy, and the property had a peaceful, relaxing atmosphere while still being close to restaurants, shopping, and local attractions. The room was clean, comfortable, and had everything we needed for a relaxing beach vacation. Waking up to the sound of the ocean each morning was the highlight of our trip. If you’re looking for a quiet, family-friendly oceanfront resort with outstanding customer service, beautiful views, and excellent amenities, Willow Bay Resort is an easy choice. We will definitely be returning and highly recommend it to anyone visiting Myrtle Beach.

The pictures on the app was ABSOLUTELY not the rooms they have. Windows you can't see out of, paint peeling, dirty inside the cabinets, smelly room so bad the manager had to spray our room. All we wanted was to pay a cancelation fee and leave, but was not allowed to. They wanted a full price to cancel even though the manager could CLEARLY see the room was not was the same as the pictures on the app.

I just checked out of Willow Bay Resort, and my stay was wonderful! The room was very clean, the views were amazing, and the staff I met were very friendly. The price was great for the location, and I would definitely stay here again. 10/10!

Beach view 🏖️

If you do anything before booking your stay at Willow Bay, let it be reading this review. The pictures are DECEIVING. When we arrived, the front desk was not welcoming. What appeared to be the maintenance man, was over welcoming in a weird way. When we entered the unit, we were in disbelief. There was sand throughout the floors, the windows were cloudy, the view from the balcony on the 2nd floor was railing and a dirty hot tub. The fixtures in the bathroom were either missing or rusted. The kitchen sink disposal didn’t work and was backed up. The smell was HORRENDOUS. We didn’t receive any new towels during the stay and ZERO house keeping. The unit kept cool except in the bedroom. Despite keeping the door open 24/7 for the air to circulate, we slept with the blankets off. The door to the balcony was rusted and required force to shut it, lock it, and open it. You had to turn the knob just to lock it. We left earlier than our check out date because of how dirty we felt. We couldn’t wait to come home to shower with actual water pressure and cleanliness. The refrigerator had visibly not been cleaned out in who knows how long. You could hear the doors slamming shut throughout all of the units. This place is ran down and needs to be shut down. I’m disappointed in myself for paying to help keep this “resort” in business.

The view and access to the beach is perfect!

The pictures and the reality of this property don't coincide with each other. The room didn't have tv in the rooms I had to get a tv brought up. The rooms are old and there was even a roach in the cabinet where the dishes were.
