Ophold alene

Great location 100 yards from Starbucks reserve Rostary, fantastic staff, excellent breakfast. 3 blocks from waterway including “Little Island”. Shopping is excellent for food, wine, clothing and to take excellent walks. Really a quiet place that I found randomly for I usually stay at Gansevoort meat packing hotel that is also top 5. It provides mid location to Chelsea, SoHo and financial district.

The property was wonderful in general except that a high end pent house suite was missing some items that are generally in even much lesser venues. A full length mirror, a small microwave, paper towels, easier access to ice Small things but big helps. The staff was wonderful. Lastly and I know I was to blame for this or maybe Expedia. When I booked the room I knew it was almost 800 per night. That was fine. When I received the bill I was charged almost 1400.00 for Sunday almost double. I was not made aware of this prior to booking. I’ve never been to a hotel that changed prices on different days. If they do it should be posted on the web site or Expedia site. It was a surprise and not pleasant. When I called and asked I was simply told that’s how they do it.

This is my go-to hotel for NYC. I love everything about it. Clean, friendly, rooms are small but efficient. Great location across the street from Chelsea Market and a block from the A Train.

Quiet, sweet rooms with a view. Clean, and stocked room. Staff kind and quite helpful. Within walking distance to so much. Looking forward to going back soon.
