Country Inn & Suites in Ithaca NY The breakfast rm was very busy -- every table taken. Only 1 person filling everything. Waffle iron broken. No waffles (why my family wanted to stay here) -- looks like waffle iton is old & needs to be replaced. Tish-sheba in brkfst rm working very hard even as customers complain to her about no waffles while the manager sat in the INNER office (not even front desk). I had to get his attention after standing at front desk waiting for him to look up. Thats unacceptable management & he needs training about teamwork!!

I stayed at this hotel for five nights. The property is in good condition, and the complimentary breakfast is of decent quality. However, if you arrive within the last 30 minutes of breakfast service, you may find that many items are no longer available because the staff stops refilling them. The second issue is housekeeping. Rooms are cleaned only once every three days. That would have been acceptable if the hotel had informed guests in advance. Instead, we ended up taking our own trash out of the room. We also had to collect our wet, used towels and bring them to the front desk to exchange them. The management told us that towels are replaced only upon request, but no one informed us of this policy when we checked in. I don't travel frequently, but the level of service was surprising and below my expectations.

The location, which was a straight run to downtown Ithaca and even closer to Buttermilk Falls, was great. The service was also quite good, in particular the desk clerk's and breakfast person's. The facility was clean, but our room showed a need for maintenance here and there.

We took this hotel to board BWI airport and it was just 10 minutes from car rental. Breakfast was included and we took dinner just 2 minutes walking from hotel.
