Privat Mount Abang jungle trekking

Agus Putra my driver was excellent. On time and communication was great. Wonderful trek with guide Michael who was also great. The trek is a slog! Good shoes required. All round, couldn't ask for more. Recommend

L’organisation est impeccable : depuis le départ de l’hôtel au trek dans la montagne puis du retour à l’hôtel. Tout est fait pour que vous n’ayez à vous inquiéter de rien, si ce n’est de profiter pleinement de l’expérience en montagne. J’ai été prise en charge par un adorable chauffeur Edi et ensuite menée au sommet par un courageux guide Toni. Les sentiers ne sont pas évidents: sabloneux, glissants et très escarpés par endroits. Je vous recommande vivement d’utiliser des bâtons de marche ! (L’organisation peut vous en prêter.) Nous sommes partis en pleine nuit pour profiter du lever de soleil au sommet. Sur le chemin, il y a différents checkpoints surveillés par des statues divines: l’occasion pour mon guide de s’y recueillir et de prier pour notre sécurité. Il nous aura fallu à peu près 3 petites heures pour arriver en haut. Sur notre chemin nous avons croisé un Luwak! Enfin, nous avons pu profiter d’un petit déjeuner et d’une boisson chaude en admirant le lever du soleil ainsi qu’une vue imprenable sur le Mont Batur et le lac. Au retour, j’ai découvert la forêt dense et verdoyante autour de nous, qui est très belle. Merci pour cette belle aventure !

After booking on Klook, I have not heard from the company for a few hours so I reached out first on whatsapp but they eventually replied and Rues, our driver reached to arranged picked up. He is friendly and he arrived on time to take us to the trekking point. We had a great time trekking up the mountain. it is higher than Mt. Batur and I think the elevation is also the same because it is quite steep going up plus it is slippery at part. I wouldn’t say it was a difficult hike because we did it quite fast both going up and going down in around 2 hours according to the guide and driver. In the end, it is lucky because there was no rain even though it is quite windy on top so no cloud near by, but the sunrise is so beautiful and the view of mount Batur is also very pretty. Jero MangKu who was our guide was friendly and patient and he guided us up and back safely. I would advice bring a good jacket, mostly to wear at the top because it was cold and even though I wore three layers they are not proper jacket plus the sweats from the hike made it even colder since I’m wet. I definitely recommend this tour if you want to do a hike that has less people because there were 6 of us plus two guides this morning before a few people coming up later after the sunrise. When I did Batur, there were so many people both on the hike and on the top.

Wonderful experience! Knowledgeable guide (Yanshu) very nice and friendly, helped my gf all the way up and down. Told us lots about Indonesian culture. The hike is pretty challenging to someone who doesn't hike regularly. It requires a little climbing here and there. Challenging but manageable Took us about 3 hrs to hike from base to top. There are 2 stops in between (where temples in mountain are). Started around 3am. Snacks, coffee headlights and hiking poles are provided. Very quite hike. We were literally the only group doing sunrise trekking there. When you finally reached the top, the view is absolutely stunning. If you are very lucky and visibility is perfect, you can see mountains from other places like East Java and the one on Gili island. Overall this was one of the best hiking experiences we ever had. 10/10 would recommend.

The views from the peak of Mt Abang was absolutely stunning, mesmerizing and mystical! Took us 3-hour to hike up and 3-hour to hike down, but definitely worth it. Will be best to train and be physically fit before attempting this as there isn’t a foot path or trail, but basically just walking through terrains. A good pair of hiking shoes, trekking stick and flash light is needed. Though it’s provided, but best to bring your own too! Our guide, Wayan, was very knowledgeable, motivating and took great care of us to ensure our safety. He was also great at capturing the best photos and videos throughout the hike - 10/10 recommend!!

Amazing tour! Driver arrived on time. Road to office is a bit windy so bring motion sickness tablets. Very cold even at the office so bring appropriate clothing! We wore thermals, fleece, fleece, jacket, gloves and a hat. They had headlamps provided but we brought our own anyways. They also kindly provided a breakfast pack and coffee. Hike took 3 hours going up at a leisurely pace and still made it in time for sunrise. We were THE ONLY ONES and it was truly mesmerising - a definite hidden gem! Can even see Mt Rinjana on Lombok! We added on the jungle swing where you can also explore the paddyfields around the area. Very picturesque place and they have photo op designs around but you must pay extra for it.

A challenging but rewarding hiking experience. My hiking guide Wayan is amazing, at the age of 51, he was able to navigate the tricky terrains while supporting me especially going down hill on slippery muddy tracks. We were lucky to still be able to see the sunrise despite being a foggy day. Highly recommend it if you’re up for abit of challenge and want to avoid touristy Mt Batur.

We were picked up right on time, and the guide for the tour was very knowledgeable and patient with us. The hike does require a fair bit of fitness but the view at the end was very worth it, as a less crowded and more beautiful version (in my opinion) compared to more popular hiking spots such as Mt Batur. Afterwards the visit to the coffee plantation was a nice surprise, with good chocolates and coffee/teas (they also provided free tasters!) you can bring back as souvenirs.

An Exceptional Sunrise Hiking Experience The sunrise hiking trip was truly an unforgettable experience. The entire journey was seamless, and the view was absolutely breathtaking. The driver, Agus was both friendly and punctual. He reached out the day before to confirm the details, and even arrived slightly earlier than scheduled (at 1 am). When we missed his initial message due to oversleeping, he kindly called and was more than willing to wait, which we really appreciated. Our guide, Wayan, was wonderful. He ensured our safety throughout the hike while also providing a warm and welcoming atmosphere. He thoughtfully brought along mats for us to sit on, prepared halal instant noodles for breakfast, and served us delicious home-grown coffee. Additionally, Wayan was an excellent photographer, capturing the stunning moments of the sunrise. I highly recommend this trip to anyone looking for a well-organized, memorable hiking experience. A big thank you to the team for making this such a special outing.
