Room was adequate for a night stay. Deli and store walking distance. Town has restaurants but all pretty much BBQ or Pizza.

It’s a small town and this place was the heart of it! Everyone was so friendly and the rooms were rustic but clean and comfortable. The little store had everything you needed and the Capitol Burger Food Truck was delicious! The pool and hot tub were perfect after hiking.

A great place to stay in Torrey. Very clean, comfortable bed, reasonably priced. Excellent deli and shop. Plenty of free parking

Nice small local hotel. Comfortable rooms and beds. Coffee, refrigerator in room. Pool and jacuzzi. In the heart on Torrey. Great place to stay while at Capital Reef

In spite of reading many positive reviews of this place, I wondered how clean and nice a place called Chuckwagon Lodge and Store would be, Well, the answer is, very clean, very nice, great staff, and a well-equipped general store open well into the evening, with incredibly friendly staff. Great location. As an added bonus, during our two-night stay, we struck up conversations with two different groups of travelers, both times spending a half-hour or more exchanging pleasant experiences and ideas with them, This place just seems to draw friendly and sociable travelers,

Wonderful stay. The room was spotless. The staff was friendly. The kids enjoyed the pool. And, it was a great base for exploring Capitol Reef.
