Brit Hotel La Rochelle Périgny

Check in was smooth and parking was acceptable for our motorcycles, staff were helpful in all areas of the hotel, both the evening meal in the restaurant and the breakfast were very nice. The room was nice and clean and of a fair size, the only downside about the room was the bed sweaked everytime you moved or rolled over.

This is a great hotel to stay at for trips into La Rochelle and the nearby little town of Perigny also has good bars and boulangeries. If you have a dog there is a great little park for walks. The room was clean, with a big comfortable bed and with a big shower with a seat for those needing that support. In the morning the breakfast was perfect, plentiful and very varied! We had chosen this hotel for the fact that it had a restaurant but on booking with Expedia there was no warning that the restaurant was not open on Fridays, Saturdays or Sundays, which was a shame because the menu sounded great! This was not the fault of the hotel. We would definitely recomment the Brit Hotel, Perigny!

The place was nice enough but I had luggage that had to be hauled up the stairs. It was just a basic hotel for the night so it did the trick but no frills.

I know this was a last minute reservation, but we were not informed that the restaurant was closed. We specifically booked this hotel as we were travelling up to the ferry in St Malo and wanted overnight accommodation with food, so that we didn’t need to venture out of the hotel.

Good accomodation for a short stay

Had no reason to complain as everything was good, would recommend.

Noisy roundabout location. Room was not modern but adequate. No local restaurants therefore a drive to eat in the evening. Very good breakfast.

We were traveling down to the south of Spain so this was a two night stop over on New Years Eve and New Years day. We were told there was no food available on arrival so we went to a local Patisserie and got a mixture to eat. On New Years day we asked could we buy some bread and cheese or anything but we were told no and no advice where to get anything. So we had nothing to eat for 24 hours. one staff member on arrival was very nice but other than that it was terrible.

Very friendly staff and helpful. Beds are ok comfort wise. I suggest renting a car as we got stuck walking back from La Rochelle as we couldn’t get an Uber.
