Having stayed here multiple times, I would say this is one of the best hotels in Japan. The breakfast is one of the best breakfast buffets and the hotel service is excellent. It is great to have a private balcony onsen at a reasonable price and with a very large room compared to other cities. The only inconvenience is that the hotel location is a bit far from the city centre, but you can easily get there via public transit or taxi with little traffic or delay. I would suggest two things for improving this hotel. First, they could use some English language labelling in your room (for explaining what certain buttons do, etc), given the high amount of foreign tourists visiting this hotel (from Asia and other areas, but they would all presumably be able to read English). Second, some kind of option to lower the temperature in the private onsen would be helpful because it is very hot. We realized you can use water from the cold tap in the shower to lower it a bit, but there should have been a little wash tub in the shower room that could be filled up and used for this purpose.

There is a old man at the car area that kept reminding me for two days to be careful not to knock into others car when opening our car door. He was worst on day two when he stood in front kf my car and watched me and my family open our car door as if I am under his discipline. What kind of attitude is this? Is there a discrimination because we are foreigners?

Beautiful ocean view room

Amazing hotel! Huge rooms, perfect private onsen with awesome oceanfront location, and the best breakfast buffet I've ever seen, that I'll be dreaming about for years to come! 20 mins easy bus ride to Hakodate station.

Our open air in-room onsen overlooked the ocean. Buffet breakfast and dinner were great

Excellent, spacious Japan-style room with open-air onsen overlooking the ocean.

The private onsen in the room was amazing! Loved the traditional style room and that we could borrow our pick of pillows and robes!

Good hotel with nice ocean view. The private onsen was nice.

Hotel itself was amazing but the surrounding area is not. Limited dining options in the area. Breakfast buffet was great! I loved our room with the private Onsen and its traditional tatami setting. The Onsen facing the ocean was calming. Highly recommended and I would come back to this hotel. Staff was very friendly, respectable and accommodating !

The private onsen was amazing. Soaking while watching the squid boats in the harbour. The food was fabulous; lots of choice. Amenities were very good.
