No hot water at times and mattress very uncomfortable. Typical budget hotel. Value reflected of cost.

Breakfast was a bit basic but fine. Good location. I had a quiet room. I'm a tall guy and the shower is a bit compact.

I booked this hotel specifically because I expected reliable air conditioning, but unfortunately the AC did not work properly during my stay. I was also assigned a first-floor room located right next to the garbage cans, which was extremely noisy throughout the day and night. There was constant banging and noise, making it impossible to sleep. While the staff was friendly, they were not able to resolve the issues or improve my stay. Overall, the lack of sleep due to the noise and the malfunctioning AC made the experience very disappointing

The Wakeup is certainly a reasonably-priced option for a brief stay in Copenhagen. The Borgergade site is quite centrally located, although that can be an issue because the bars and restaurants outside can be very loud in the summer months. There were often people shouting in the street until 3AM. The hotel provides an app for convenience, but that app failed to work in the elevator because we weren't on Wifi and the cell coverage in that elevator is poor. The wifi is fast and easy to use. The room we had was extremely small. It is economical - they saved a ton by not having a bathmat. There is no water kettle in the room, but you can get hot water at the desk 24 hours a day. The bed was ok, though they don't use a proper bottom sheet so we had to pull that back on a couple of times. The shower is fantastic. The bathroom is small, so there is not much place to put your toiletries. The blackout curtain is functional. There are a couple of outlets in the room, but only one near the bed. There are somehow two chairs and a tiny desk. There is no refrigerator. We made do for three nights, but I think next time I'll spend a little more for slightly more room and a hot water kettle. The breakfast is cheap. You get what you pay for. What they have is not bad, but don't expect scrambled eggs or anything. Their pastry is yummy. Their cheese slicer is Byzantine; it's not the pinacle of Danish design.

The hotel is one excellent location. It has easy access to public transport, taxis etc. It is well prioc4ed with excellent breakfast. However, the room was unacceptable dirty at arrival, the sheets were not changed for 4 days and the conditions were filtthy. The bathroom arrangement is is small and deigned with slippery floor, Not suitable for people with restricted mobility.

Functional hotel near the city centre. Bed is sideways on to the end of the room so if there are two of you, one has to climb over. Not much storage. Nice and quiet. Decent buffet breakfast. Plenty of nice restaurants close by. Good value for the location.

Emailed Expedia and spoke to the hotel staff about the cleanliness issue. No response other than a change of hotel room.

Small but well designed room. Clean. Would return.
