We thought this hotel was in Morton in Marsh. We thought Blockly was the county. It wasn't. The hotel is located in Blockley which is a tiny hamlet with no other commercial establishment except a pub and coffee shop, located 8 miles from Morton with almost no public transportation, making it expensive to go anywhere.
The hotel restaurant is excellent, though, especially the Lamb shank,

Skvělý We were on a walking holiday, so this was a welcome stop. Although the room was small, it was well appointed, though the shower could have been cleaner. Unfortunately, a gas issue meant there was no hot dinner service. The manager did a great job of rustling up cold cuts, and we weren’t charged, which was appreciated. There was also no hot water in the morning, but the breakfast they were able to provide was still welcome.

The room was spotless, cozy and had everything I needed. The staff were amazing. So friendly and nothing was too much trouble. Located in the heart of the village.

We stayed in the family studio at The Crown Inn for a wedding at Lapstone Barn which was just 10 minutes away. The room was perfect for us, with a double and 2 single beds. The room has its own entrance away from the main building and we found it quiet and comfortable. Breakfast was great and service from all members of staff friendly and welcoming.
