The location of this place is incredible. We saw so many sting rays and sharks right on the patio. There was a great little shop right nearby with awesome pastries and premade food. The decor of the place makes you feel like you’re on a magical retreat. They are very welcoming and give you delicious fancy tiki drinks with fruit and flower garnishes when you check in. The garden is so beautiful and well maintained. My only issue was at night there were thousands of ants on the ceiling and in the bathroom. Luckily we booked a place with two bedrooms and 2 bathrooms so we went into the other room when the ants came out at night. Despite the ants I would recommend this place if you’re looking for a special experience that you will remember forever.

Unique and boutique accommodation right on the lagoon. Perfect base for doing lots of activities, or doing lots of relaxing. Shop and restaurants nearby, some that pick you up and drop you back. Friendly and helpful team.

This resort is so picturesque and cute - very instagrammable. The rooms are so unique and you feel like you’re walking into a travellers personal collection of collectables. I found myself just mesmerised looking at all the items on the bookshelves. Our room was beautiful- literally felt like art. The water is lovely to swim in right at the dock.
To get around outside the resort, you definitely need a car or scooter. I would recommend this over relying on expensive taxis.
Also suggest booking a day at Coco’s beach nearby - it was a trip highlight for us.

We had a wonderful stay at Hôtel Fenua Mata’i’oa and only wish we could have stayed longer!
The hotel is absolutely beautiful and felt like a peaceful tropical retreat. One of our favorite features was the private balcony area, which was the perfect place to relax and take in the surroundings.
The staff were incredibly friendly, attentive, and welcoming throughout our stay. They truly made us feel at home and were always available to help with anything we needed.
From the beautiful setting to the exceptional hospitality, everything exceeded our expectations. We are so grateful for the experience and would highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Moorea.

We absolutely LOVED this hotel. Eileen has created an amazing retreat in paradise. It’s right on the lagoon with beautiful views but apart from the touristy spots. We were able to order breakfast every morning with homemade jams and everything made to order. The decor in the hotel is beautiful - very green and lush. Eileen organized our tours ahead of time and was so helpful through our entire stay. We also loved her cats and the geckos who came to join us for breakfast. Truly a delightful stay. We will be back if we can. A slice of heaven. Highly recommend!

It was a fantastic stay very authentic for a Tahitian vacation, left us wanting for nothing.
Grounds & decor are exceptionally beautiful and the water is the equivalent of a private aquarium. Ten out of ten highly recommend!

We had a wonderful stay at Hotel Fenua Maita'i'oa! The room was beautiful, very clean, and thoughtfully stocked with everything we needed. We especially appreciated having Netflix and Amazon Prime available for relaxing in the evenings.
The location was also very convenient...close to a grocery store and easy to get around. The kitchenette setup was perfect with an egg maker, kettle for hot water, fridge, microwave, dishes, and silverware.
The cat on the property was absolutely wonderful and added such a charming touch to the experience 😊
Overall, this was a great hotel with excellent amenities, comfort, and hospitality. We would definitely stay here again!

This tastefully decorated oasis surpassed our expectations!
From the initial garden walk into the property, we were in awe.
We can't say enough about the lovely proprietor and all her staff.
The bungalow on the water was magical. The flowers, the fish and the amazing sunset all lwft us with a ladting impresdion of this beautiful island!
