Dobrý We had a broken bed....box springs were cracked and one side of the bed sunk down excessively where it was broken. We didn't notice it until late the first night. We reported it first thing the next morning. They said they'd look at it and take care of it. Later that afternoon, we asked about it again, same response. They never fixed it. If they didn't have spares, it would have taken them 10 minutes to swap one from another unoccupied room (and it seemed they were far from full).
Waitstaff in the Fireside Kitchen had a don't really care attitude.
Facilities, in generate, were great. The pool was spectacular.

This was an all around great place to stay, eat, and gamble. But there was one thing that we were disappointed in. They show the pool and hot tub only for adults after 7pm. We went there close to 9:30pm and there were still 8 very young kids in the pools.

Skvělý We stayed 4 nights ask for clean towels never got them, no house keeping what so ever. You have to ask it didn’t matter would not recommend this place for that reason

We love this hotel and we always stay here when in Blackhawk. The staff is always so friendly and helpful and the hotel and casino are clean and welcoming. Vincent at the front desk was very friendly, helpful, and accommodating on this trip!

Ameristar has gone downhill over the past two years. I started staying at this casino resort in 2024. At that time, the staff in the hotel and on the casino floor were lovely. However, every subsequent visit has been worse than the last.
Let’s start with check in. The line is incredibly long. People are waiting. The staff is meandering and, quite literally, checking to see if there’s anyone with a better player’s card tier status to help. Not because they were in line, mind you. Just staring at an empty “more important people with money” line hoping that someone more important would roll through.
Then, there’s housekeeping/guest services. I called and asked for a couple of bottles of water. They eventually brought me six. One for every hour I had to wait for them to bring me water.
And don’t get me started on the casino floor. The games are poor and overpriced. The dealers are either incompetent or so uncontrollably unhappy with their jobs they’ll stand at the table and whine about it. They don’t do any crowd control. This weekend there were so many drunk, rowdy, inappropriate young men and casino staff doing nothing about it. I was genuinely concerned I was going to walk around a corner to something unconscionable. This place wants to be Vegas and attracts the tacky clientele for it.
Go to the Lodge, you’ll have more fun and won’t fear assault on the casino floor.
