The hotel was historic and pretty much what was expected. The food was good and the staff were friendly. The hotel was within walking distance of many sites. It was a nice getaway for us.

The property was very convenient to everything in Salem including the short walk to the commuter rail depot to Boston. Our room and the bathroom were very small, which was disappointing since we stayed there 5 nights. When we checked in I asked the desk attendant if we could get a bigger room and she told me I should have done this request with Expedia prior to checking in. I was ot happy with her attitude and unresponsiveness. In summary it is a great historic hotel and very convenient.

Conveniently located in central area of town. Walking distance to everything. The Tavern on the property was great and the service was really great! The property is well maintained, clean & has on site parking.

Dobrý Rooms were very small, but okay for 1 night. Shampoo and conditioner bottles were previously used and refilled.

Fantastic staff. Everyone was helpful and so courteous. Rooms are clean and comfortable. Breakfast was excellent as well.

Helpful and friendly staff and very clean room. However, many furnishings and amenities were outdated. The lobby always smelled musty and off putting. I understand it is a historic building but some updates and improvements should be made.
