The staff from reception to bar staff to cleaner and custodian were fantastic. I was particularly surprised by the tidiness of the car park, odd thing to note but it was tidy and very well lit. Our room was refreshed well when we returned from our busy day.

Rooms clean but dated. Location good enough for easy walking to the boardwalk/harbor/shopping & dining areas. Walkable to the main railway station ( if taking the Northern Explorer) as well — 15-20 minute walk.

Great location. We had a King-size bed in our room, which was one of the higher-end rooms on the top floor. Alas, it was lacking in power points, especially as the powerboard in the corner of the desk was broken (it should pop out of the desk). While the room was a good size, there was a bed, a desk, and one chair only. We did have a nice coffee pod machine though. Hotel was busy, some noise in the morning from other guests in the corridor. But mostly good. I stay here a few times a year, as long as the price is right - this is a pretty simple hotel in a good location. Would not pay big money for it, but it can be very reasonable too.
