Dormy Inn Aomori Natural Hot Spring

It’s a bit further from Aomori Station (as per most Dormy Inn). But everything is perfect. The nebuta-themed onsen is great, and the view from the 13th floor is the best.

Loved our room, with a nice window looking out on the water. Great onsen including nice places to sit. Massage chairs great. Parking was easy. Another great Dormy stay.

Dormy inn group of hotels has maintained its standard. Always choose this chain as it never disappoint.

LOVED my stay. The room (Deluxe Twin) was extremely spacious and I love that there was a door to separate the sleeping area from the bathroom.

This is a wonderful hotel about fifteen minutes walk away from Aomori Station, with many restaurants especially izakaya near by. The hotel feels new, the staff are friendly and check in/out is a breeze. We booked the standard room with a king bed that although a tad small is very comfortable and well equipped. Dormy Inn has many nice touches such as complimentary apple juice and coffee throughout the day, free bowl of ramen from 9.30pm to 11.30pm, and free use of washing machines (pay only for the use of dryer). The public bath is another delight. Overall highly recommended for a short stay in Aomori.

Very clean. Efficient room layout. Great shower water pressure (no tub in standard double room in this case, 1101). Breakfast buffet is 2500 yen (pricey but very good quality and great selection of foods including grilled salmon, tuna and scallop sashimi, bakery goods, etc.) Relaxation room and spa on 13F including free popsicle from 1500 to 2500 and free noodles from 2130 to 2300 at the restaurant on 4G. 10 minutes walk from JR Aomori station (which has several restaurants as well including a Starbucks). About 10 minutes walk from the pier though in winter, snowdrift will detour you. Speaking of, road are clear, sidewalks, not so much so get an IDL.

The room was small but very clean and comfortable. The staff was generally warm and inviting, and provided patience with the language barrier. It’s not the most soundproof hotel and you’ll hear people, but the common baths on the top floor more than make up for it. I’d stay again!
