Why people love Singapore

We have a wonderful and memorable time cycling around the City of Singapore. We will never get to do it without a fantastic guide, Jeff. He is very knowledgeable and friendly. We learnt alot from him. He will made sure we are always safe and guided us along the road and pavement. Suitable for families with children. Highly recommended! Keep it up, Jeff!
Fascinating and Educational outing. Richard is professional and passionate about sharing his knowledge and experiences. He made a huge difference in our appreciation of the nature reserve as we would most likely missed out much sightings if we had gone on our own without a guide. Highly recommended activity for families wishing to spend time within a natural surrounding right here in Singapore. Sighted eagles, monitor lizards, kingfishers, bats, tree crawling crabs and more including amazing plants.
We had SOOO much fun touring the city in these sidecars and thank you to Moon and Gary for making the trip even more enjoyable!!! They were both so knowledgeable and patient in taking really instagrammable photos. I highly recommend this as you can see Singapore in a different angle you’ve never seen before 👍🏼 Didn’t regret bringing my boyfriend for his Birthday as he loves riding bikes as well, 1000/10💯💯💯💯
Would totally recommend it if you’ve never visited an old quaint area of Singapore - Tanglin Halt. Our guide, CK from Trekkers, was patient and lead us through the less trodden paths to the black n white houses. The Rail corridor of a 24km stretch was especially interesting too, although we didn’t walk the whole distance , together with all its history.
My family and I took a tour of the Southern Islands with Atlas Travelz and although it was a tiring experience, our guide (Warren) definitely made it an educational and enjoyable one! Warren was an exceptionally informative and friendly guide, and we were also really thankful that he was willing to help us take photos and capture some truly irreplaceable moments amidst the greenery. He paced the tour rather well too, made sure our ferry trips between each island were smooth, and we especially thank him for his initiative in ensuring our comfort and safety throughout. He went above and beyond to make this tour a memorable look into our heritage, and highlighted how the Southern Islands actually relate to the building of our lovely island home, Singapore. On a side note, the food packs provided were more than sufficient and the pre-tour facilitation via email was good too!
This was a great tour. Wasn’t sure what to expect but certainly turned out very well. Lively group made the experience even better. Wonderful guide, Patrick, shared history and interesting information bytes about the architecture, culture and insights into the local businesses there. Had good food along the way too. Highly recommended for those who are interested to have a peak at our cultural diversity in Singapore, and along just one street! The unique Peranakan culture & practices and yes, food again. Go for this!!

Top sights in Singapore

Nowadays, cities are mostly all concrete with small patches of green here and there. In Singapore, it’s the other way around -- it’s a ‘City in a Garden’. Best known for being a melting pot of cultures and cuisines, this city-island also boasts sustainable infrastructure and efficient urban planning. Its reliable MRT system can take you around Singapore attractions, shopping outlets, cultural sites, and hawker centers in a jiffy. Use this travel guide to make sure your itinerary is packed with exciting things to do in Singapore.

Gardens by the Bay

Gardens by the Bay is a 101-hectare urban sprawl of futuristic gardens, manicured rain forest, beautiful domes, and awe-inspiring structures. Discover the largest glass greenhouse in the world when you visit Flower Dome, home to flora that thrives in Mediterranean temperatures. A tropical rain forest awaits in The Cloud, where an indoor waterfall descends upon the mist-filled Cloud Walk and Treetop Walk. See more of the place through the OCBC Skyway’s 128-meter long aerial walkway. Finish your tour with a viewing of the spectacular light show, or son et lumiere, in the Supertrees

Merlion

A visit to Singapore won’t be complete without a selfie with the Merlion. This half-lion, half-fish icon is a mythical creature that symbolizes the city-state and its roots. The Merlion overlooks the bay and offers a panoramic view of the nearby skyscrapers, making it a must-visit for tourists. The crowds may deter you from visiting, but fret not; there are six Merlion statues that you can check out around the country. Avoid the crowds at noon and catch the evening light show instead.
