The Vale Rusutsu is lovely however, its a shame there isn't a bar and breakfast area in that side of the resort. This lovely hotel is attached to the older much more family orientated hotel Rusutsu which is where most of the restaurants and a couple of bars are located which can be a nuisance walking back and forth especially when you are in a rush in the morning to get to the slopes. Thankfully it was just myself and husband travelling this time so it wasnt a big issue. Great onsen and as most of Japan is very clean !!

The room is huge… given that it’s a service apartment. The washer and dryer made a lot of difference to our trip at Rusutsu. The area is clean, and the staff were friendly and helpful. Mountain View is definitely amazing, especially during winter. While it is a bit of distance from the main resort area, it is walkable (or you can just drive there if you have a car) and sheltered all the way from the Vale to the main resort area. Will stay here if I were to come to Rusutsu again.
