We left it late to book a hotel in Langkawi and we couldn't get in to any of usual hotels but managed to get a room at the Penarak Bamboo beach resort.
When we went in the room it was spacious and very clean but when we opened the back door the view was spectacular.
It's a very laid back place, the staff are friendly I ended up booking for another week.
It's such a relaxing place, I would definitely go back

Location and view is amazing, but the rooms and the property in general really needs to be renovated and beautified; it has so much potential due to the location and view, it’s disappointing when you get there and you see the state of the motel and the rooms
In addition I don’t think it’s fair to offer an “upgrade” to get the room that I have already paid for instead of a bad one

Great sea view room, no breakfast..but there are number of eating places nearby if driving.dont expect 5 star service though!

What made this place special was the front office staff: they genuinely cared about my welfare. I was sick, and they brought me food to help me get better. I was glad to be able to extend my stay.

The sea view is nice but i didn't get it although i have booked earlier.
The food is cheap.
There is no staff and the office still not open yet when check out at 8.30 am.
