Worst hotel stay of my life. Room is dirty. The aircon remote had brown substance inside. Toilet bidet did not work. One light in the room did not work.
Not worth it for the price.

It’s nice that they have rentable umbrellas for free. Check in was easy, key was easy to use.
Overall the room was pretty disappointing. The carpet smelled moldy, and when we turned the AC on it was very musty spelling. There were loud guests at 1 am that woke us up. The bed is pretty stiff and the fan in the bathroom doesn’t work well. But I liked the volume of the pillows, and I liked how the fridge actually works, the room came with two glasses in the fridge for drinks and a microwave. Didn’t come with womens amenities so I was disappointed. There was only one amenity and towel set so we had to ask the front for another one even though I checked in with another person.
Overall the smell was bothersome and it was too hot so I wouldn’t stay here again.

- I accidentally picked the 'smoking' room, but they changed me to non-smoking for free!
- I couldn't really figure out how to get room service (cleaning/etc)
- front-desk was hit-miss with English, but translation app worked well enough
- despite being on the 4th floor, this street is very quiet at night. Where-as in another city I stayed on the 8th floor, and it was noisier because the street
- a nice distance to Ueno park, and maybe 200m from Yanka Ginza shopping street. Get the Chestnut dessert, really good

The staff was great. The location in the heart of Nippori is great.
The facility, however, is old. The rooms are very small. The hallways stink of smoke. Some things in the room were broken, etc.
If you've done the youth hostel thing before it's OK, but I wouldn't recommend it for a family.

The location is decent because it Ueno and the Environment is lovely but, the hotel itself is terribly disgusting. The moment I walked into my “non smoking” room, it smelt like smoke and must, that also includes the initial walk into the hotel. The room was so filthy(fridge had mold and gunk all over it, carpet was stained and not vacuumed, and the smell was of old cigarettes). I immediately asked for a refund and left for a hotel in Yokohama. If all Hotel “Live Max’s” are like this then ooooof. Because of that I will NEVER stay at a Hotel LiveMaxx.

The hotel appears to be quite run-down and the rooms are of rather poor condition. I hardly spent anytime at the hotel besides resting and washing up. The area is convenient with supermarkets and restaurants/cafes. The subway station is just a few minutes away.

Per sota de la mitjana Friendly staff. Close to subway stations. Guest only have partial control of air conditioning. Air condition partially controlled by hotel and the room tends to get very warm at nights.

I love where its located because its so near Sendagi and Nippori station, a convenient and grocery store is just outside the hotel. There are also lots of options to go to buy food. Very convenient!

A lot of stairs to carry our huge family luggages up and down the lobby and ground level. The staff cannot communicate at all in English so it is very difficult for us to address our queries.
