Lovely room, old style but plenty of shampoo stuff plenty of towels, the blanket was amazing, great weather, close to port douglas but quiet nice pool.

Prepaid booking was not held.
At the end of a long day I was told “no booking on his screen and no rooms available”.
Rude and unhelpful. Left me right in the lurch.

Honestly- it was a very average experience. A plus is we got check in early, but we basically were handed our keys and that was it- no information on where things are or about using any of the facility. The room was okay for space for me and two teenagers. Bathroom was okay. But the ants- there were heaps of dead on the walls, skirting floor, and then there were the live ants. I took photos but after I cleaned up so many of the dead bodies. We are not a messy family, and we always cooked in the communal kitchen, so our food remained pretty much out there except the odd drink or cookie. As soon as that left on the bench, so many ants everywhere on the tables/shelving. For $144 a night is what a great value staying so close to port Douglas and Mossman gorge, but it wasn’t worth going through the experience of the ants. The kitchen area was okay but a bit messy- I am a cleaner so I cleaned everything before we used it to cook.
