Staff were very helpful from check in, giving recommendations for local attractions, luggage storage, and checking out. The breakfast could be improved. Eggs were cold and bacon undercooked.

Hello, fellow travelers! Here’s a quick and honest review of this property. Quick Wins: 1) Breakfast Options: If you book a room with breakfast, you’ll enjoy a good selection of food. Breakfast is served from 7 a.m. to 10 a.m. sharp. 2) Great Location: The hotel is in the heart of Reykjavik, just a 10- 15-minute walk to Rainbow Street and the iconic church. 3) Honest Staff: I once left my jacket and wallet in the dining area, and thankfully, they were saved! 4) Lockers Available: You can store your luggage and carry-on items securely. 5) Family-Oriented Lobby: There’s a nice hangout area that’s great for meetings and socializing. Some Hiccups: 1) No Gym Amenities: The Center Plaza Hotel does not offer gym facilities. 2) Basic Room Quality: The rooms are typical of budget hotels. 3) Busy Hotel: The hotel can get quite crowded. I went down for breakfast at 7 a.m. once, and it was packed! I found that going later helped. 4) Limited Perks for VIP Expedia Travelers: There weren’t many benefits during my stay. I had to remind the front desk about my status, and they provided me with one complimentary drink. 5) Tour Pickup Issues: The hotel does not offer pick-up for tours. The nearest bus stop for pickups is a 5-10 minute walk from City Hall Bus Stop 1. However, if you're traveling with a group or family, there are plenty of taxis available right outside the hotel.

The room had smell and from all angle the room bathroom was so small that u can’t even move. I am a platinum Expedia member from last 15 years but this is the first time I wanted to leave a review. Absolutely a rip off.

Great location. Very nice hotel

Great location in the center of town. Had front facing room with nice view of the square….staff extremely helpful and the lobby area is very open with a useful section for computer use…. Very busy in a good way… many travelers passing through….lively but room was quiet, clean, modern … Only bugaboo is no parking…(but same I believe with all downtown hotels in Reykj…)had to navigate complex parking rules on city streets…but overall fantastic stay and would return anytime.

The room was exceptionally clean, and the staff were welcoming, friendly, and incredibly helpful throughout our stay. What I loved most was the location. It is conveniently situated within walking distance of many tourist attractions, restaurants, and shopping malls, making it an excellent base for exploring the area. The only downside was the lack of free parking. Finding a parking spot close to the hotel was quite challenging, which made it a bit inconvenient if you're traveling by car.

We had an excellent stay at Center Hotels - Plaza! We chose an 8th floor room with our own balcony, which are all on the back side of the hotel, which helped as I know others have said the plaza facing rooms can get a lot of noise from the plaza itself as there are bars/restaurants. The room was super clean, beds were very comfortable, and the bathroom was large and really nice as well! The only thing is that the rooms get verrrry hot during the day when the sun is shining, we would keep the curtains closed and it would still heat up a ton - luckily we would just open the balcony door and the small window and get the fan blowing and it would cool off quickly, but I could imagine in a room without a balcony door to open and only a small window it would be way too hot. We had shared it was our honeymoon and they left us cards and some treats in the room which was really sweet of them. Tough that there's no parking, but there is a garage nearby and lots of street parking 1-2 blocks behind the hotel which didn't end up being that bad. The location is incredible, the restaurants in the plaza with the patios are really fun and convenient, and the whole city feels very walkable from this hotel! We would definitely stay here again next time we are in Reykjavik!

Unbelievable location and helpful staff. But the the room was way too hot and they said that they couldn’t fix it

It was a lovely room. The hotel staff were super friendly. Great location. Thank you for the special birthday wishes for family member. It’s the little things that truly made it a wonderful experience. Our room did get a little warm as we were visiting Iceland in the summertime and there is no air conditioning. We did use the standing fan we found in the closet. Definitely would stay here again!
