Very convenient to station and Mt Hakodate
Nice view of harbour area.
At last, a comfortable bed, a rarity in Japanese hotels. It was really appreciated.

Room is clean and spacious albeit the furnitures revealed their age.
Bed & pillow are firm, can do with extra pillow for extra confort as it is abit flat.
Air conditioning (only heaters) not provided in April which is less comfortable as air feels abit stale — especially if you are not comfortable with leaving the windows open when sleeping.
Personal amenities provided are adequate but can be improved.
Staff are polite and friendly.

An easy to find hotel. Not far from the railway station. Friendly helpful staff. Lovely common area with free drinks available. Room small as per Japan rooms. Sufficient amenities in the room for a few days stay. Tram stop close by. Good laundry available to use for a reasonable price. Games area upstairs for guests. Restaurant for breakfast ok. Dining options are plentiful near by. Wifi good.

It was an old hotel but clean. We even have a big window with the view. Steps away from the stations, the morning market and lots of stores and dining around. We will stay here again.

The hotel is conveniently located to Hakodate train station as well as the tram stop.
Breakfast was excellent even if limited options. The juices were fresh and rich tasting. There were unexpected seafood options such as grilled scallops on my first morning and tuna (maguro) sashimi on my second morning in addition to other Japanese breakfast staples. What was surprising was that sake (!) and ice cream was also available.
I would have given the hotel a 5 stars rating if not for the fact the bed had ONE pillow! The first time ever staying at a hotel that did not provide two even if there was only one guest.
