Very clean and comfortable property. We stayed with two kids, and the separate room with a tv was nice to have. The front desk staff especially was outstanding. A refrigerator in the room would be nice, but the staff was very gracious about storing food in the refrigerator in the check in area, so it was no problem.

Beautiful property. Incredible location with perfect access to all of Old Lyon. I will stay here again, just wish there was a fridge in the room but other than that, it is a neat perfect hotel for our family of 4.

This is a beautiful hotel, with much character! The rooms were comfortable and we appreciated having access to a water dispenser. The location was great, with many restaurants and shops with walking distance, as well as easy access to public transportation.
Unfortunately, we visited during a heat wave and the air conditioning was not working, it took a some time for it to get resolved, but in the end it was worked out. Would have liked to have access to a fitness center, but the charm and character of the hotel was worth the trade off.

This wonderful hotel features both a GREAT location and historical ambience. I hate picking on them about running out of shower caps to enjoy their magnificent rain showers, I should have remembered my own. This was a fantastic experience and we loved this hotel.

The Académie Hôtel Lyon was a excellent stay. Good central location. The room was clean and the staff was very helpful and courteous. The breakfast was delicious and eating out front in the morning was a beautiful setting. Would visit again when in the area.

Room was very clean and roomy. It’s a very old building and there are rooms that have no windows though. That’s fine if there is a significant price difference but not good for a multi-night stay. Best to call in advance to try to get one of the couple of rooms that have windows.
It’s also perfectly located just outside the old city. Easy walk to everything.

Our hotel room was amazing! We got a double room for our family and it was so spacious and beautiful! The original elements of the building are preserved and are like going back in time, but with the modern updates blended that feel very clean and nice. Loved reading about the history of the building and seeing the architecture. The elevator was super convenient. Everything was walkable
