Huge, spacious rooms that were clean and comfortable. Walking distance to several restaurants. I wish we could have stayed longer!

Breakfast was good, staff was helpful. Room was pretty clean. Bed was creaky. Access to car park across the street was spotty, as card scanner to open gate did not function reliably. It was nice to stay downtown with good places to eat in walking distance.

I would avoid staying at this property if I could. I stayed two nights over memorial day weekend. On Saturday, my key never worked to get me into the property. Every time I went to the front desk for help, the attendant told me I must have touched something with the key that demagnetized it and offered no permanent solution. This alone would not be very notable if not for the fact that when I returned on Saturday night, their entire electronic key system was down. There were 40-50 people in the lobby around 9:30 p.m. and it was quite noisy. I asked the front desk attendant if she could let me into my room. She asked if I was checking in. I said, no I checked in the previous day and my things were in my room. Could she please help me? She said no. I said and waited an hour. I returned to the front desk and asked what I could expect. She told me to get another hotel. I said what about my things? She said, oh I thought you wanted to check in. I can get you in with my master key. Upon checkout, I explained everything that happened and asked the hotel to comp my stay. They refused and blamed the night attendant for being a new employee, which seemed inaccurate and unfair to me. This hotel is not responsive to the needs of its guests. You can find better places to stay in Des Moines.

Clean room and decent breakfast. A lot of unruly kids without supervision during my stay.

Liked it was near where we were doing activities. Maintenance needs to step up their game. Toilet issues, non working phone, and not many tv channels.

Generally very nice, but a little worn. Could use a little paint and polish.

Trash was never cleared until I check out. 05/17 to 05/20. Breakfast was good but some items like boiled egg was hard.

Great location in the heart of Des Moines and so many walkable options to this hotel. The hot breakfast was wonderful and had that home cooked feel to it. The lobby is quiet and cozy. Loved how comfortable the beds are and the hotel staff are super friendly and kind. Would definitely come back to this hotel
