Conveniently located property with clean, basic accommodations quite well suited for what I needed. Helpful and friendly staff. No on-site gym but a quick 5 minute walk to a well equipped health club with which the hotel has an arrangement ffor guests to use (24/7) at quite a reasonable fee. A variety of dining options in the area. Small kitchen in my unit -- also in a building with a larger kitchen and community lounge. My room (basic studio) did not have a closet or a dresser, but had shelving I could use for clothes so was not an issue.

Property was an easy 10-minute stroll to downtown. Clean room, renovated, warm, with a comfy bed. Staff was lovely. Just be sure to book a parking spot in advance. Try the amazing breakfast spot in the backyard, Unknown Chapter, which is world class yummy. Also Little High Eatery a block away was great. Would definitely stay here again.

Overall an excellent stay. The only thing is they claim to have an onsite fitness room which is part of why I chose to stay here.
Sadly I found out upon checking in there is no onsite gym, but access (at an additional cost) to a local gym 5 minutes walk down the road. I believe they should update their listing and remove this part as it is misleading.
Other than that I recommend this accommodation, it is across the road from Little High Eatery which is great for various dinner options.

I have been staying in southwark since it opened because it's clean and it's near CBD. However, its the first time, I've smelt like sweat or probably someone smoked in the room and they cant get rid of the smell.

Great location - downstairs room with great black out curtains - so great sleep. Easy walking distance to restaurants, shops and the new stadium. Room had a New York Loft feel to it - well equipped and good heating

Genial Parking is a bit of an issue. On-site parking is limited and close street parking is busy and you have to get in early in the evening.
