Great hotel for a few nights in Hakone. The thermal baths were amazing. We booked a private bath for our family and really enjoyed the experience. I highly recommend for a relaxing stay.

Everything is great except shower curtain. There are some dark spots on the shower curtain. It might be mold. Since I only stay for one night, I didn’t change room and didn’t report also.

Pros +. Super close to the Hakone train station, natural onsen, extremely friendly service, multiple restaurant options, large rooms Consideration: property is very dated and in need of a reno. Not run down but dated decor

On the pro side if you're staying, he Hakone it is definitely the best place to stay. It is right across from a train station. It is a beautiful walk over a beautiful river and waterfalls and the property itself is very lovely. The staff is pleasant completely not English. Cons: The food choices are very minimal. There is no Gym. It says laundry on the website but that is not accurate. There's one tiny washer dryer on one floor that is smaller than an apartment size that is not really accessible. We did not partake in the pools and the water features so I cannot comment on that. The gift shop on site is minimal.
