What a fabulous experience. From the moment we arrived at the entrance till we left all the staff were helpful friendly and knowledgeable, nothing was too much trouble. Breakfast was incredible as was dinner. Afternoon tea is a wonderful experience and not to be missed.

Our Junior suite was a wonderful place to relax - so spacious, with views to 3 sides. The bathroom was very spacious. Room was always well serviced. There were generous supplies of tea and coffee. It was always a pleasure to approach the hotel - the porters welcoming, friendly and efficient. We found the concierges extremely helpful. The Guest Experience Team were proactive in ensuring we had everything and their kindness in making my wife's birthday special will long be remembered - thanks Sherman and Frances! Sherman appreciates that the Nellie is not just a 5* hotel - it is an iconic institution and he clearly intends to keep it as the premier destination in Cape Town

Seth (bartender) was always so pleasant, knowledgeable & overall a wonderful individual. Drinks were fabulous!!I would also have to mention one of the guys out front “Courage”. Always a friendly smile and a word of how my day was, where I had been & did I enjoy it. In retrospect all employees were outstanding. Piano player is fabulous!!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Nellie and wish we could have stayed even longer! The property was immaculate and beautiful and the staff always personable - exceeding expectation. Amazing hotel, very classic feel. The staff are the differentiator, service is top notch. Crystal gave us a great check-in experience and point of contact of various items. Tim also arrange an exceptional tour that was a highlight of a trip
