Best Western Zaan Inn, Amsterdam – Zaandam

First of all I was given an amount to pay at property by hotels.com and once there it was nearly double the amount I had to pay. The staff were lovely and helpful and I knew it wasn’t their fault, it was hotel.com’s fault. Anyway they wouldn’t refund me, instead put the amount on my account so the only way I will get that money back is to book with them again 😡.The room was fine but could be done with a bit of attention. The wallpaper was coming off in areas, the roof was marked in areas and the floor was filthy.not enough cutlery or plates and we couldn’t use the fridge as it was warmer than the room. Breakfast was fine. Good choice and the staff were lovely. Only big downside was my daughter’s AirPods went missing. Didn’t have time to report to police as we were flying home that morning but the lady we spoke to was going to see if housekeeping knew anything but still today those AirPods are having a great time floating about the Netherlands 😠. Zanndam is lovely. Lots of shops and restraints. Hotel 10 minute walk from train station.

Very decent hotel for the price, staff were great, I thought that the room could be better maintained - I had to ask for coffee, shampoo, and the lock was glitching. Location is amazing - just a short walk from Zaandam train station, the suite was also well planned with ample living space. They don't have a cooktop in case you think they do, though theey have small kitchen and tiny fridge.

Clean hotel, very near the train station and the town, where we went each evening for food. Staff were very helpful and friendly too. Not so keen on the vending machines, they did run out of drinks, not great when there's 12 of us, but we coped! Parking was convenient, but it didn't always like our number plates (we're from the UK)!

This hotel gives excellent service. I highly recommend it.

Self checkin. One person servicing the hotel. Any needs were slow to be addressed. No micro, no refrigerator. No extra blanket in the room. Painted boards for shelving. No draws. Very old appearing room. Would not stay there again.

Great access from Zaan station,quiet location,shopping nearby,

Staff was very friendly. Rhe food machines were not working. Patio tables and chairs were all pied up and patio was basically unstable. The place was clean

A modern clean room - with excellent staff, that were friendly and very efficient. The hotel is within the city of Zandaam for all the amenities you could wish for, and has a great direct railway line connecting Zandaam to Amsterdam in only 12 minutes

The hotel location is outskirts of the Amsterdam but superb convenient due to its near to the Albert Heijn and Zaandam and the windmills area. You can do online check in but the downside I found bed bug on the second day which is not good.

Reliable internet. 5 minute walk to grocery store, 10 minute walk to train station and 12 minute walk to lots of stores and restaurants along the canal.
