We had a wonderful stay at Hotel Villa Maria in Sorrento. Anna, Giusy, and Iole were absolutely amazing throughout our visit. They were friendly, welcoming, and always willing to help, making us feel at home from the moment we arrived. The breakfast was simple but delicious, with a nice selection of fresh items each morning. Our room was spotless and very well maintained. We stayed on the 5th floor and were fortunate to have a beautiful view of both the ocean and Mount Vesuvius, which made every morning special. The hotel is conveniently located within a short walk of the center of town, making it easy to explore Sorrento’s shops, restaurants, and attractions. The bed was extremely comfortable, and the room was quiet, allowing for a great night’s sleep. The pool area on the first floor was lovely, and the bar served delicious food at very reasonable prices. Overall, we were extremely pleased with both the hotel and the outstanding service we received. We would happily stay here again and highly recommend Hotel Villa Maria to anyone visiting Sorrento.

You really can’t beat the location of this hotel. It’s a 15-minute walk from the train station and situated right at the end of the main street. Everything you need—bars, restaurants, a supermarket, and a laundromat—is within easy walking distance. The staff was very nice and attentive, and the breakfast buffet was a great highlight of the stay. Regarding the accommodations: our room was on the top floor. It is worth noting that the elevator only goes to the floor below, so you have to take a flight of stairs to reach the final level. Our room featured a small porthole-style window and a skylight rather than a standard window. Since we spent most of our time out exploring, it wasn't a major issue for us, but if you prefer a full view or more natural light, I would definitely recommend requesting a room on a lower floor in advance (or with no stairs). My only concern was the WiFi. It was sporadic and very weak during our stay; I’m not sure if that was due to being on the top floor, but it was the only reason I took a star off my rating. Otherwise, I highly recommend this place for its cleanliness, affordability, and prime location.

Average hotel in a good central location, within walking distance of the centre and harbour. Parking was in the hotel parking garage for an additional cost, which was essential for the central location. Staff were friendly and helpful. Room was very outdated and wasn’t cleaned properly during our stay. Bed wasn’t very comfortable. Breakfast was acceptable but not that good. Gym equipment didn’t work properly.

Clean room, decent space except shower which was size of a phone booth. Our room 113 was next to main thoroughfare therefore noisy 24/7

Villa Maria’s staff is very friendly, efficient and helpful. Hotel is close to many shops and hotels and a short (but with lots of steps) walk away from the ferry terminal.
