As a frequent visitor to Taipei, Illume is almost always my hotel choice. Rooms are generous in size, but not over appointed. Staff is helpful, but usually points you to the suite of automated services features - chatbot, self-checkin and out. The location is excellent, the fitness center is excellent and there are lots of places nearby for great coffee and food... plus a handy 7-11 in the hotel complex. Really everything you could possible need.

Excellent location as the hotel is close to MRT and bus stations. Right across from Taipei Arena. Lots of great places you can eat at, 711 stores and family markets are nearby as well. IKEA is literally next door. The hotel looks new and the room that I booked is clean and well maintained. Will consider staying there again when visiting Taipei in the future.

The location is very convenient, and Sunny Buffet is also excellent. However, on our second day, we found a cockroach in our room. Because of that, we probably won’t consider staying here again.
