Per sota de la mitjana I had to spend a night in Hong Kong unexpectedly. I chose this hotel because it was a short walk from West Kowloon rail station. It was definitely the worst hotel I’ve stayed in many years. The room was tiny (especially the bathroom, which was basically a shower stall) and shabby and smelled of cigarettes. The bed was so hard that I had to check to see if it actually had a mattress. But the sheets were clean, the AC worked, and, since I was just there to sleep, it was, in the end, fine.

Rooms a little older but clean and comfortable with everything one needs. Staff was helpful and courteous.
Perfect location with 1-15 minute walking distance of busses, trains, ferrys, parks, outdoor markets, and harbour.
Local shops, stores, and dining spots are plentiful.

This place was dreadful, I was also charged HK$600 for this horrible place, but I would not stay there again even if it was free.

ราคาดี ไม่แพง เหมาะสมกับคุณภาพ ถ้าคุณจ่ายในราคานี้ ก็ต้องรับให้ได้ในสภาพ และพื้นที่ห้องแบบนี้ สำหรับฉันมันโอเค

ฉันไปช่วงธันวาคม อากาศหนาว มีบางวันน้ำไม่ร้อน ในห้องเห็นกลิ่นบุหรี่มาก ไม่แน่ใจว่ามาทางไหน แต่บริเวณหน้าโรงแรมมีผู้คนสูบบุหรี่เยอะ เพราะเป็นแหล่งท่องเที่ยวและตลาด พนักงานต้อนรับวันที่ฉันไปค่อนข้างมีสีหน้าที่ไม่เป็นมิตร พูดจาไม่ดี แววต้าไม่ต้อนรับแขก
สุดท้ายถ้าเป็นทริปประหยัด ฉันว่าที่นี่โอเคมากๆ ทั้งราคา สถานที่ตั้ง สภาพห้อง และถ้าฉันมีทริปประหยัดอีก ฉันไม่ลังเลที่จะกลับมาพักที่นี่

I have heard about such hotel rooms in Hong Kong but fortunately never had to use one before January 2025. Heavy travel Calendar/Lunar New Year season leads to wild price hikes by ripoff owners in HK - eg. high rate for closet with toilet in tiny corner washroom. Receptionist friendly, space (cannot be called a room) was clean though no waste basket. Probably would not be legal in Guangzhou. GZ far beats out HK style capitalism for fair rates & higher quality accommodation.
