Check in. Lucky we checked in at the same time as an Austrian couple who were struggling understanding the system. Room was small but ok. Shower was terrible. Tea and coffee in the room with top ups available from the kitchen. Trouble was they had run out of milk. Overall ok and fair value for money.

A very convenient location not far from the city centre. Host contacted us to check check-in time and give property/room codes, so very easy to access. The accommodation and room were a bit shabby: fraying carpets; couldn't reach the Velux to open it without standing on a chair (average height); Velux blind that did not stay down at night so we had to open the window and wedge it in the crack to keep it down; very squeaky rolling bathroom door which woke us up whenever someone wanted to use the bathroom at night; shower was a bit grimy and the sealant needs replacing; light above the mirror did not work; bathroom mirror had not been cleaned - there were toothpaste flecks on it; fridge noisy so had to switch it off at night; very limited space to store clothes. Useful having the kitchen available, though we didn't need to use it. Good amenities apart from only having 3 teabags for 2 people and not enough milk for more than 2 cups. Bed was comfy. USB charging ports by bedside which were useful. Generally felt like things needed updating and cleaning a little better, but otherwise a comfortable stay.

Everything was great for our stay , room was in a very clean condition and served us well as a base.

Our stay at Diamonds Guest House in York was absolutely amazing! It was our family’s first time visiting York, and the whole experience was truly memorable. The guest house was spotless, tidy, and very comfortable. The location was perfect and easy to find, plus it’s just a short drive to the town centre, which made exploring York super convenient. The price was very affordable too, so it’s great value for money. The staff were so friendly and made us feel right at home from the moment we arrived. We loved every bit of our stay and can’t wait to come back again. Definitely recommend Diamonds Guest House to anyone visiting York!

Very quiet and comfortable room. Thoughtful amenities, easy walk to train and center, nice high street and nearby park. Would stay again, for sure.

Helpful staff member. Comfortable spacious room. Closer attention to maintenance needed e.g. portable heater lacked one wheel and one wobbly

Had a fantastic nights stay at this guesthouse and already looking at booking again. Room was great, tea and coffee making facilities along with shower gel, shampoo and plenty of towels. Check in was easy…just one phone call and code was given to gain entry to property. Can’t wait to visit again.

Would have been much better if some sort of breakfast was on offer. No reason was given for not allowing alcohol. Room basic but tidy, reasonably well situated.
