Far beyond my expectations, convenient to everything, quiet (except for the inevitable train passing noise).super clean no odd smell at all, and the backpackers seem to be nicest people ou can find too. It's economic yet comfortable stay, i couldn't find any reason to complain now that i paid $22 for a big room with a king bed table and chair and private bath and walking distance to the train station

A very fun and nice hostel. Mix of Taiwanese and international guests. Staff was very welcoming. Neighborhood is very quiet and peaceful, and only a short walk to the train station and dining options. Would visit again.

My stay at BayHouse was incredible! The staff are the friendliest and went out of their way to make me feel welcome and have a good time in Hualien. Any time they saw me, I was greeted by my name (which is a small gesture that means a lot) and we had a bit of small talk. The hostel’s environment is very cosy and I really love their eco-friendly ethos. If ever in Hualien again, I would definitely stay here. Absolute value for money!

Good location, the train station is ten minutes by foot; super clean inside the house; the counter staffs are really helpful; eateries just nearby; spacious lobby area for chit-chat, web browsing, etc; friendly guest; having a feeling of freedom and comfortable and many more
