The Dylan is a small, family owned boutique hotel with the friendliest most helpful staff ever. If you travel to Amsterdam their concierge service is invaluable. The Vinkeles restaurant is a two star Michelin awarded restaurant and an experience not to miss. This hotel wants to serve and treats you like family.

The price is worth every dime. The location in old city is close to all the museums, fun restaurants and a great quite neighborhood. Very charming outdoor space, beautiful bar and restaurant. Hotel staff beyond help full with things to do, restaurant recommendations and reservations. Our room was spacious, super comfortable and the bath was large and very spa like with the double rain shower/ hand held, tile, mirror lighting (a huge plus) and super large freestanding soaking tub.

The hotel and staff were fantastic. The location was perfect - a lively neighborhood, but not hectic and very close to the lovely Jordan neighborhood. The hotel is close to most sites and to transit.

The hotel staff is top notch and the property is in excellent condition. We had a dinner meal at their top restaurant that was one of the best ever. My wife had a six course chef vegetarian and I had Turbo fish. The delivery was a of Michelin quality and the wait staff was amazing. The daily breakfast is more than enough and can be à la carte or a buffet style. We would recommend this property to any visitor to Amsterdam’

My wife and I recently stayed at The Dylan Amsterdam, and from the moment we arrived it was clear that this is a hotel operating at an exceptionally high level — largely because of its people. The check-in experience set the tone immediately: smooth, welcoming, and intuitively handled by a staff that is both highly professional and genuinely warm. Throughout our stay, every interaction felt thoughtful and effortless, as though the team anticipated our needs before we even had to ask. Dining and dinner reservations were handled with the same quiet precision. Whether it was arranging meals, offering recommendations, or accommodating last-minute requests, the staff managed everything seamlessly and with an impressive level of sophistication. Nothing ever felt rushed or transactional — just calm, confident service delivered with real care. What truly stood out was the consistency. From front desk to dining, every member of the team embodied the same standard of attentiveness and polish, creating an experience that felt cohesive and deeply relaxing. It’s rare to find a hotel where the service enhances the stay so completely without ever calling attention to itself. The Dylan is a special place, and the staff are very much the reason why.
