The room was always clean and the cleaners invisible. The air conditioning was excellent and the breakfast was delicious. My only concern was the toilet as I could not lean back as it flushed straight away. More thought needed to be put into the installation of the toilet.

The room was clean, spacious, great beds. Staff were nice and helpful. Swimming pool was great. Gym could probably smell better. Location was amazing.

Great location - handy to Orchard Road shopping and the bus lines. We stayed for 2 nights and the accommodation was great for what we needed. There is noisy construction next door from 8am to 10pm at the moment. Comfortable and clean. Would recommend.

Air conditioner was not functioning well to make our room cool and I was sweating in middle of the night. We were able to change the room but the second room is also only a bit better for air conditioning. Bath tub and sink were not also draining well. There is major construction site next to the hotel and they are working six days a week, starting at 8 am. The noise is really uncomfortable for our stay.

Had a lovely stay, all staff where friendly and helpful. I personally didn't have the breakfast but I was told that it was really nice with a great selection. Room was clean with plenty of space and a very good air con, which is a must in a hotel in Singapore. The pool was really nice to, nice and big with plenty of sun loungers for a nice way to spend evening after a day out. The pool opening times where very good, 7am -10pm, meaning you can have a morning swim and one late in the evening. Only downside was some construction noise but as we where out of the day it didn't really affect us. Great transport links with the bus and MRT close by. Plenty of walkable bars and restaurants close by. I would recommend getting a deluxe room that overloks the pool with a balcony. We didn't book one of these rooms but I think they would be much nicer to have a view rather then looking straight at another building. (As you can see in my 3rd picture, the superior rooms overlook the construction that will become another building right opposite your windows. I would definitely recommend this hotel.

Checking in and out was a breeze. Staff were friendly and helpful, housekeeping was timely too. The room was very spacious and nice colonial design which makes it memorable and cozy. We were given a free upgrade due to the construction work next door. Pool was of a good size and not over crowded. Our stay was very enjoyable on the whole. Only thing for improvement are to provide bidget in toilet and a more comprehensive array of tea & coffee with higher quality.

Well if you get a hotel at 8.0 something rating in Singapore, then you're getting basic and outdated experience. The room was clean. The linens were fresh. That’s all you get. So for one night, it’s fine. Nothing more. This is also a hotel where people live, so expect smells and sounds from non-hotel guests in this location. Not bad, just odd for a “hotel.” You’ve been warned!
