The overall feeling is clean and convenient, but there is a damp smell in the room.

Nice location but it is noise and the facility provided is a little bit not good enough.

Clean rooms, very typical Japanese hotel room. All compact but well designed. Sound proof so is quiet.

We actually like staying at KOKO hotel. This is our second time staying here. It’s very comfortable and convenient to commute everywhere you wanna go. The staff are nice and helpful.

The hotel overall is not bad, but I've stayed in numerous other hotels in Tokyo and wouldn't choose to stay here again. The location of the hotel is very close to Ueno station, and some smaller stations as well, which is convenient. The rooms are similar to other similarly priced hotels in Japan in terms of size and amenities. Towels are replaced daily. I had a couple of problems with this hotel that lead me to review it a lower. - There was a drain smell in the room all of the time. This seems to be a problem with the hotel as my friend experienced the same issue in their room too. - You have to pay 1000 yen per item to store your luggage after 2PM. This wasn't something that we were aware of when booking the hotel. I haven't stayed in any hotel before where they charge for this (in any country, but I have stayed in lots of different hotels in Japan and never had this), and probably wouldn't have stayed here having known this. - One of the cups I received after my room being cleaned was dirty with stains and a bit of food inside. - One of the 'clean' towels I received had a mark on it. Based on the above, I can't give the hotel a higher score. I think they need to work on the cleanliness, sort out the drains and offer free luggage storage until the end of the day you check-out, as standard in most hotels.

The staffs are all so kind. Near Ueno station. I love all the amenities, they have hair dryer and hair straightener. This hotel is great for solo travellers. Highly recommended and I will definitely going to come back.

Close to ueno station and right across the road from plenty of food and convenience stores. The hotel has a small lounge but they do provide free drinks. The hotel only has limited luggage storage so if you need to leave your luggage after 2pm there is a charge per item. There are some lockers you can use but these are also ¥1000 to store your case. Overall a great hotel for convenience for shops and stations but because it’s a compact hotel it’s a little lacking in some facilities compare to other hotels.
