super close to city centre and supermarket! was so easy to walk where we needed to go! The staff were so lovely and we felt we could always just ask a question, it was warm, clean, and had all the things we needed for our weekend stay. would definitely stay here again 100% !

Not much onsite parking, good location for the price. Lots of part time staff trading a few hours of work for a free bed. Tiny room.

Estada individual

Great location, just a few minutes' walk to the central shopping area and waterfront. Very friendly and helpful staff who did a good job of cleaning the property. Unfortunately, many of the guests did NOT clean up after themselves around the kitchens and showers.

Basic dorm accommodation but comfortable enough and great communal facilities. Add in a spectacular setting and friendly staff and there really is nothing to grumble about here!

Staff is nice and welcoming but the wifi is really really terrible. It somehow kick you out even you are in the middle of browsing. The speed is also terribly slow.

Staff was friendly. Location fine. Unfortunately so noisy from other guests speaking loudly could not sleep until after 3am. Had an early am flight and regretted not staying in a quieter setting. Seems like a very popular place and was totally booked up. So might be calmer on the off season.

I had the small, private room with a double bed, which was the way to go. Short walk to the bathroom. Shower had hot water with good pressure. Clerk was friendly and helpful at check in. Short walk into the center of town. Queenstown can be very expensive, this was a good alternative.

Queenstown Lakes District Council will upgrade wastewater infrastructure on Robins Rd (where the hostel is located). Both lanes will be closed from Robins Rd up to Hamilton Rd (opposite the hostel) from mid-January to early April 2026. After Easter, traffic will switch to one lane until late May 2026. Vehicle access for affected properties will be via the northern end of Robins Rd (near Hamilton Rd). Work hours: Mon–Fri 7:30am–5:30pm, some Saturdays, and brief night works may occur.
