Was great option as a transit hotel between flights. Plenty of food options nearby. Front desk staff fabulous- Joesph arranged a taxi for very early in the morning which was much appreciated

I often stay at the Venue. Excellent price-performance in an expensive city, and I appreciate the Joo Chiat neighborhood, which is one of the last areas in Singapore with any remaining cultural appeal (spot the Singaporeans on safari in Joo Chiat to see it before it disappears). If you are expecting 5-star accommodations and service, the Venue is not for you, but if you are an experienced traveler on a budget, it's very good value. Because I stay often (hundreds of nights over the past five years), I have gotten to know the staff, and (mostly) they are friendly and helpful. I'm especially appreciative of Joseph's and Davin's hospitality over the years, and I know the other frequent guests are as well.

I often stay at the Venue, which has a number of sister properties (Venue Classic, Venue Lily, Sakura by Venue) in the Joo Chiat neighborhood and represents good value for money (important if you stay scores of nights per year). The core members of staff are friendly and competent, and the rooms are decent. You're not going to confuse the Venue with the Mandarin Oriental, but you're going to save hundreds of dollars over the Mandarin, so suck it up. I like the Joo Chiat area, which is one of Singapore's few remaining neighborhoods with historical charm. Lots of good Vietnamese food on the street as well, and East Coast Park is only around a kilometer away. Recommended if you're looking for a budget hotel.

Very clean but basic room, quiet. Staff were helpful, though hotel did not have many facilities. Very convenient location.
