Beautiful and unique property, very clean and updated. Add others have said you will need a car as it’s not around much. But with a car only ten min away from centre

Lovely property. You need a car if going to old Matera. Grocery store close by. Pretty grounds and great pool (although like most Italian pools, not heated.) we found easy parking lots near the historic area so it is ok. The photos are deceiving because the spa whirlpool tub is not included - you have to pay 100 euro per couple to use those amenities. That should be made clear in the listing or they shouldn't show the photos. " Cave" hotel room is fun but only a window at door and in bathroom. Very nice breakfast and nice staff.

Our stay at Santa Lucia was truly perfect from start to finish. The property is beautiful — peaceful, clean, and surrounded by nature, yet only a short drive from the historic center of Matera. The rooms are spacious, tastefully decorated, and very comfortable, with everything you need for a relaxing stay.
The staff were incredibly kind and attentive, always ready to help with directions, restaurant recommendations, or anything we needed. Breakfast was fresh and delicious every morning, with plenty of variety and a lovely atmosphere to start the day.

The Masseria itself is stunning. The rooms are basic but very clean. The pool area is lovely, and the courtyard has beautiful views of the old house built into the rock. We also booked the spa, which was an amazing private experience with steam room, shower, sauna and private pool. 5 minute drive from the Centro Storico.

This resort is about 15 minute drive from the historic district of Matera. I had stayed in the center of town in the other cities we visited in Puglia. I liked the quietness of this location. The room was elegantly furnished with high arching ceiling. The staff was excellent and the breakfast was great.
