Air-conditioning in the hotel is pretty weak . Thankfully, the front desk staff gave us a table fan that allowed us to sleep. Not a terrible location, but nothing must do around the hotel

Room was not clean enough, and the AC was horrible. I couldn’t sleep at all because the room was extremely hot. The bed was uncomfortable, and overall it was a bad experience. I wouldn’t stay here again.

I stayed with my family in a family room at Novotel Montparnasse for three nights in July 2026. I was happy to book with Novotel as it’s a chain we’ve used before and have always had a really good experience with, but I found this hotel fell below my expectations. I felt our room was quite tired and the bathroom and toilet a bit grubby, although it did work well for us to have a separate toilet and shower room with four people sharing the space. There was a water fountain on our floor which was a massive plus for keeping us hydrated in the heat. Breakfast was plentiful and there was no scrimping with everything being topped up until service finished. We struggled a bit with the location, maybe my fault for assuming that because we were near a big station that the metro would be handy, but it really wasn’t. We nearly came to blows in the heat trying to get from Montparnasse Bienvenüe to the hotel, so I would recommend using Pasteur if possible (the line from Pasteur goes above ground as it heads towards the Eiffel Tower, which is really nice). It’s the first time a Novotel has been a bit of a disappointment for me. I felt it was expensive for what we got, but also appreciate that this might just be the reality of booking a chain hotel in Paris.

The staff were very helpful and attentive. Check-in was quick. Our only complaint was upon check in the room did smell like rice or a very strong odor of food that was hard to get rid of.

This hotel was excellent location near to the metro 🚇 walking distance for restaurants. The stuff was excellent and helpful, the property was nice and clean room big, clean and excellent view and lighting. We will stay there im our next trip to Paris.

Hotel pulitissimo, in posizione comoda. Personale cortese. Camera spaziosa

Very clean, helpful staff, water cooler in every floor, recommend it for sure!
